Ok, the ball and the field using plastic was a surprise.
As an active recycling family, this pleases me. My 7 y/o soccer girl is a total recycler already. So the World Cup is incorporating things that are important for the Earth and for the future of our children. Soccer is awesome!

wow.. amazing that most everything involved with soccer is some derivative of plastic. Now I know my recycling efforts aren’t going to waste! I hope that it means a better future for all the world. We were cheering for Italy .. but unfortunately they are out at this point.. so.. GOOOO Germany!!!

I love the fact that the jersey’s for the US team are made out of recycled plastics. Not only are they representing our country on the field but they are representing our country and our dedication to our planet. My three children play soccer at varying levels and it is nice to know they are protected. From shin guards to the goalie gloves that not only help my sons grasp but also protect his young hands. Also… Go Team USA!!

I found it crazy all of the things that plastic were involved in. My daughter is the biggest fan of soccer that I have ever known to love, and watching how in-to the games played in South Africa she is, I can see how it is strengthening her mentally when she plays on the field.
She is one of those teens who try to do everything for the environment like, recycling, reusing, picking up litter, and she also doesn’t drive as much because it harms the earth. But I think that soccer is the most important thing to her, and since she is so passionate about soccer, she would be okay that we use that much plastic because it is helping to protect her from injuries.
The environment and soccer are 2 of the most important things to her in the world, and I know she would do anything for them.
Shes also rooting for PORTUGAL! She just loves the way that there team plays not only as a team, but like they are a family.
